New Years at Windling Gables
It has been a long time since I have blogged my Windlings! Two more updates and then I will do a Windling Retrospective. Which will include a Windling family tree (finally!) and a nice easy overview of the Windling family over the past fifteen generations. I know I get confused at times so you guys must be postively lost.
Anyway, as a refresher to where we are. We are in sixth generation, second bloodline. The heir Cerebrus and his wife Veronica were elders, their ten children Anaitis, Arthur, Louhi, Adella, Anastasia, Eros, Eris, Epona, Erato and Erebrus were all off at college. Cerebrus' brother Cael was staying with him and his wife, and raising his two alien sons Vasu and Vasanta while plodding along with his second alien pregnancy. Mercury, of course, lurked in the background as he always does.
Updating for the first time in over a month and it's a filler chapter, I'm sorry!
"Happy New Year, everyone!"
Arthur wasn't the only one to ring in the New Year. Epona and Cupid turned up as well and they both made a beeline for the Billiards Room.
"Time for a little competition..."
"The line up..."
"Cupid wins!"
Epona left the scene of her defeat to find Cerebrus and Kimberly giggling it up about the good old days back in the first dynasty of the Windling family.
"We lived in a gigantic L basically!"
Then Kimberly went to check out the new fangled bubble blowers. It was what all the cool kids were doing these days. Though they certaintly didn't have such things in her day.
*gigglesnort*
Meanwhile Vasu and Vasanta sat together on a love seat in an out of the way room to work on their relationship. All part of the dastardly plan regarding the vampire chain, of course.
"Even though I'm second born I'm totally going to go to college first, you just wait and see!"
Finally, Old Father Time shows up and everyone eagerly lines up to welcome in the new year.
"It's about to be a new year, everybody!"
"Line up, line up now, I say."
"Look at the time, it's nearly here! Hurry up!"
"Now, uh, everyone get out their pots and lets see if we can't get in one good rendition of Aud Lang Syne!"
"Whoops! Um, I can has new year?"
I brought him inside so that Toddler New Year could boogie down.
"See you next year!"
The party was a success.
"Another bang up Windling Party!"
Things went back to normal at Windling Gables. Or, as normal as they ever get at any rate.
"You may go to college first but I learned to walk first, so there!"
The good mood didn't last long though. Veronica was at the end of her days.
"Oh, dear, wasn't I in the middle of something?"
"So long my love."
"I *sniff* will just have to *sob* finish cooking your Pork Chops for you... *wails*. Hey, what's that smell?"
Points Earned Half a point for Platinum Grave (Veronica).

your site is really good! It has inspired me to write stories on the Sims 2! I know it's been a long, long, long time since you posted, but I only recently found your blog and read..the whole..whole..thing. I'm currently working on transistioning my sims from my old laptop to my new one (and discovered I'll need to buy an external hard drive) and I was needing a sims 2 fix, so I looked for a blog, and yours was the first one! I'm glad too, because it's amazing and I've really enjoyed seeing all your sims grow up. I hope you return to this corner of the web one day soon!
