Eris Windling Gets Abducted
Wow, I wasn't expecting to be gone this long! Sorry about that. Now, where were we? Sixth generation, second bloodline that's where! The heir is Cerebrus and he and his wife Veronica have just had their tenth child. Their children are Anaitis, Louhi, Arthur, Adella, Anastasia, Eros, Eris, Epona, Erato and Erebrus. Whew! Now it's finally time to allow my heir and his spouse to become elders. Their birthdays turned out to be not only on the same day, but also happened to fall on the very last day of the Sim year, New Years Eve! So we had a double birthday New Years Eve party extravaganza!
"What shall I wish for now that I have ten children? Oh, I know, grandchildren!"
Cerebrus was next to blow out his candles.
"Hmm, a wish... Oh! I know! Another party right after this one!"
It seemed like no time passed at all and the candles were blown out, pleasantries and noise makers were exchanged and Toddler New Year showed up to bring in the new Sim year!
"Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And never brought to mind? Should auld acquaintance be forgot, And days of auld lang syne!"
The party ended up being a success, though I don't think it was a roof raiser. The birthday celebrations got in the way of that.
"Awww, I hate the cleaning up part!"
To fulfill Cerebrus' wish, and his wife's LTW, I threw another party the very next day, in fact I was so lazy I just left up the New Years decorations for it! As Cerebrus and Veronica were now both elders I could finally throw a Golden Anniversary party. It also kinda doubled as a birthday party for the youngest Windling, little Erebrus, who was about to become a child, so there would finally be no more little ones in the nursery! Until the next generation anyway. A reason to celebrate indeed.
"Oh, so you lot are back for more, are you?"
I did pull out one new thing, Cerebrus and Veronica's old wedding cake that I had kept in the heir's inventory all this time. Still perfectly good to eat!
"I scratch your back, you scratch mine. Now that I've literally scratched your back, how about you indulge me and try out my old wedding cake. It's still perfectly good, I swear!"
Near the end of the party I had Veronica fetch Erebrus from the nursery for him to blow out his candles.
"What's your wish, little one? For all of these strange people to go away?! Half of them are your siblings, you know!"
Another good party resulted.
"You're not going to try the cake, are you?"
With Erebrus now a child there were now three little ones working in the skills rooms on their skill scholarships.
"Ah... chaos."
That night the skill building ended up being interrupted by an abduction.
"Wow, cool! Does this happen often?"
While waiting for the errant teen to be returned the younger set of twins, who had earned all their skill scholarships earlier that night, went off to paint and stay out of my hair.
"I cannot possibly be any more creative then I am right now, at the tender age of nine and a half."
Soon my errant teen returned. Eris had been abducted and earned the extra half point in scholarships.
"That was absolutely hilarious, Eris! Sucks for you though, sorry about that."
Eris seemed to enjoy it though, being a Knowledge Sim and all.
"You are so lucky."
With a lot of the big scholarships under their belts I had the older set of teens work on their dancing scholarship. Something they took very seriously.
"Hoo! Haa! Hoo Haa!"
The younger set of twins had only to worry about eating, sleeping and painting. Oh, and getting good grades. Finally.
"Wake up! Wake UP! It's totally awesome, and you will never believe this but... we just got an A+!"
Saturday again.
Second Bloodline, Sixth Generation: from left to right across the back are Eris, Mercury and Eros, across the front are Erato, Veronica, Erebrus, Cerebrus and Epona.
Time passed and soon it was the end of summer. So it was time for the Last Day of Summer party at Windling Gables! During the course of the party I had Eris invite over Adella to get her vampire bite.
"Come closer, little one..."
She wasn't a very good vampire.
"Um... bleh?"
Meanwhile the party rocked on. Isn't Mercury just the most awesome DJ ever?
"I call this my Undead Too Long Mix, hope ya'll like it."
Yep, another kicking party.
"I'm about pooped out on parties now."
The reason it was taking my teens so long to get out of there was because I was maxing their skills as well as working on their scholarships. And, for Eros I was spreading his skill building out to keep up his aspiration throughout his teenhood. But, he had finally learned everything about everything.
"Officially a Know-it-All at last!"
So, I had Eris pass on her vampirism.
"If I'm not very good at this, sorry!"
Eros was much more into the whole vampire thing.
"Bleh! I mean totally bleh, dude!"
Then I got them both out of there before the sun rose!
"At least I get a scholarship for this."
"So how long go we get to stay like this? Only until we arrive?! Weak."
Points Earned: Two points for Eros and Eris maxing their skills. Eros and Eris earned two and a half points in scholarships.

Hey! I've been reading your blog for a while and finally caught up! Well-actually-I caught up ages ago and was waiting for you to come back =P What held you up?
Oh my gosh, I love your sims! Especially when they were working on those dancing scholarships. Eros reminded me of a caveman. He should totally go on vacation and meet Big Foot xD Where did you get those hair styles from? I love 'em!
And...have you chosen your heir yet? I see that quite a few of your sims are potential heirs, but do you have some honest favourites? Erm...long comment...I should probably be quiet now! (:

Allie - I'm glad you are enjoying the Windlings! I'm a web designer/developer by trade and spent nearly all of last month traveling for meetings, training, and to pick up some new clients. I was only home for six days last month! When I got back I immediately got down and busy with Christmas stuff, but now all the gifts are bought and wrapped, Christmas cards are in the mail and of course decorations are out and up. I love Christmas! But, I bet you already guessed that since I have my Sims celebrate it, even in the middle of July for me. :D Now I'm back and I promise another update today and one more on Friday. And, that will probably be it until the new year because I'll be leaving again.
I'm pretty sure both Eros and Eris' hair are from Peggy Sims. Unfortunately Eros is going to just miss the cut off for the first FUN Greek House Spring Break, but he will definitely be going on the second one!
Right now I like all of them pretty equally and they are equal in the run for heirship as I have no family Sims! So I'm just waiting to see how they develop in college. I hate it when my Sims decide to cut things close like this.
