Gertrude Windling Gets Abducted
So with Amalthea newly married to her wonderful husband, and fellow Family Sim, Jessie it was time for the kids to start rolling in. Over the next five days Amalthea and Jessie adopted five children. The first was a lovely little girl named Gertrude. Every inch the eldest child.

"So, where's my Christmas present?"
A little boy named Gomez. Who excelled at debating.

"So that's why I think we should be allowed to have snowball fights in the house. Er, if it ever were to snow, that is."
Chuku, my little resident trouble maker and proficient bubble blower.

"So, where is that bubble blower anyway?"
Another little girl named Dinah.

"Why do people keep singing, 'I've been working on the railroad' at me?"
And, finally one last little boy named Karna.

"Finally! A big family to call my own."
The new found siblings seemed to get on well enough, they did well in school, and after school I allowed them to get some bubble blowing in before homework and bed.

"Whee!"
With so many kids in the house I decided it was time to give them (and me) a little treat. So I had Amalthea bake some Christmas Cookies.

"Too bad the kids can't help decorate them."
Then I had her light a fire in the fireplace.

"It's a very Merry Christmas..."
Santa showed up around 10PM that night and grabbed a Santa shaped Christmas Cookie. All the kids woke up and did the next thing in their queue (shower) before coming down to cheer at Santa.

"Yeah, yeah, Merry Christmas, kid. Now where's the milk in this place?"
Santa then went to the Christmas Tree and left a stereo underneath it for all the kids. He then gave Jessie a Merry Christmas hug.

"Wow, thanks for the stereo, Santa! But, we already had one before..."
He then gave Mercury a hug too. Poor guy, been alive for seven generations (if you count each bloodline's generation) and this is his first Christmas.

"Merry Christmas, Santa."
And, of course, at some point in the proceedings Jessie found Amalthea under the Mistletoe again.

"Check it out, babe."
Before I knew it, it was Satuday again.

Second Bloodline, Fifth Generation: From left to right across the back are Jessie, Amalthea, Gertrude, Gomez and Chuku, across the front are Karna, Dinah and Mercury.
Not long after that Gertrude became a teen. I rolled Fortune. Following her over the next two days Gomez became a teen, I rolled Family, and Chuku became a teen, I rolled Romance.

"Time to start bringing in the dough."
With all the kids there was a crazy amount of activity going on in the skills room. The lie detector ended up breaking and I sent Jessie to fix it so that he could give Dinah lessons on it. Unfortunately he wasn't successful.

"Alright, alright, it was me that ate the last of the Christmas cookies!"

"Don't worry Dinah honey, I'll be right back, Daddy just needs a shower. And, maybe a nap."
The night was still young in the Windling household and when one thing goes wonky for my Sims other things were sure to follow. And, true to form, that night I ended up getting an abduction.

"Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, where'd the eldest go?"
Just on a brief visit with the aliens. Gertrude was returned safe and sound first thing in the morning. I love how the paper delivery girl thinks everyone is out there just to wave good morning to her.

"Wow, hi guys! So, what's going on?"
Even though, as a Fortune Sim, Gertrude should have been pretty freaked out by the events of the night before she seemed to approach the new day with a smile. Well, I guess there is the added perk of qualifying for §1,000+ more in scholarship money.

"Like I said, bringing in the dough!"

Bringing, in the dough, priceless. Earlier you mentioned something about an OFB method, is that the same one where you have the Sim buy and sell a community lot, thereby earning $100,000? That's also the one I use! (As soon as that Earn Money want rolls up, I'm right there, having them buy it and sell it!)

Yep, that's the OFB method I use. I still think it's so cheating. I used to work really hard to get them §100,000 in a week or so. Now it's just a simple phone call. The "wants a challenge" side of me is fighting with the "strategic game play" side of me over this. It's getting vicious, I tell ya.
