Amalthea Windling Dies by Old Age
So, Dylan was now a creature of the night, a bat without limits, a human inhibited only by the sun. But, most importantly Dylan was now considered undead. Which meant it was now possible for me to earn a full point in scholarships with him. What I do from here on out is daisy-chain my legacy family together by having one young adult pass their vampirism down to the next teen set to go off to college before I cure them, this chain also works well for pledging people in to the Greek House. Instead of having to befriend new members I just have the next person invite over the person they passed their vampirism to so they could start their pledge period immediately. You'll see how it all works. Suffice it to say I would now be getting half a point more in scholarships per teen, plus there would be a lot less hassle getting them in to the Greek House.
"Flying is just so cool."
Finally, finally my oldest elder on record: Amalthea, who was nearly 90 years old, was now ready to die.
"Looks like I won't be getting that shower in after all."
Everyone else in the house gathered to mourn Amalthea's death save for Orion. He didn't bother dropping what was in his queue and just kept on yacking on the phone.
"Oh, no, I definitely agree she totally shouldn't have said that to you, so lets get back to what the other people in the group were wearing."
"No way, green stilettos? What was she thinking?"
Way to show some empathy, Orion.
With an empty spot available at home I decided to go play college a bit. Cassandra had just joined the Greek House so I went ahead and with some clean downtown templates in, sent the whole Greek House downtown on a scored outing. It was very nearly a disaster.
"I'm thinking one of those cute little indoor garden places."
Almost immediately after everyone had showed up, and I had queued up all sorts of things for everyone to work on to get the score up, a fight broke out tearing everyone away from each other to freak out over it.
"We're supposed to be increasing Windling bonds here and you legacy people from the first dynasty aren't helping!"
After Lorelei and Atlas finished duking it out I went back to concentrating on the outing. I got the score maxed and tried to have everyone sit down to eat. Everyone was able to eat just fine save for Gomez. I had him be re-seated and re-seated and re-seated but every time a townie came and stole his food before he could eat it. If it wasn't for the mood boost at the end of the outing Gomez would have starved.
"Oh, did you want that §35 dish? By all means, it's on me."
Next Alvin graduated, so I sent him home to max his skills and see if I could get him to be abducted.
"Sounds cool."
Vishnu followed right after him. The problem with the alien skin tone is that it makes the guys look like drag queens, so I have them wear that alien green eyeshadow I used to have the girls wear. It gives them eyelashes close up but they don't look like sad old queens then.
"Shall I bat my eyelashes at you?"
Next I pledged in Gertrude.
"A night club sounds hot."
Unfortunately, there was an odd number of people for the outing so I had everyone pair off and left Gertrude to do a little something that would bring in a bit of money.
"This mix I call, Orphan in a Nightclub."
Marisa appreciated the groove. Even if all the college kids there thought she was a bit nuts.
"Gosh, she can't even dance."
After everyone finished maxing out the score I let them do their own thing. They all started dancing on the dance floor.
"We can dance if we want to / We can leave your friends behind / 'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance / Well they're no friends of mine"
Then I changed my mind about letting them do completely their own thing and decided to have the people that paired off to work on their relationship for the outing score to get pictures together. To commemorate their new found friendship (or best friendship).
"Cassandra & Dinah: Sisters and Best Friends"
"Chuku and Karna: Bro's before Ho's."
"Valkyrie and Gomez: Hey, we're cousins, right?"
"Gertrude: It's my party and I'll DJ if I want to!"
Then I directed them outside to grab a bite to eat since most of them were starving by that time.
"So which sounds better, Filet Mignon or should we go straight to dessert, girls?"
So after that was over with I switched back to playing the main house. Poor Dylan, I learned my lesson. Get the vampire bite last and then immediately off to college. He ended up having it pretty rough earning those last few scholarships and dealing with his new sun allergy at the same time.
"Thank goodness, I'm out of this hell house."
Just a few days shy of elderhood Orion managed to earn his thirtieth best friend.
"Aw, are you sure I can't tease him about getting his butt whooped by Lorelei, just a teensy tiny bit?"
Alvin moved into the Windling main house to start work on maxing his skills by day and stargaze by night. The stargaze bit turned out to be successful.
"So, what do we do now?"
We work on getting Damon his scholarships really quick so that I can get twin aliens, that's what!
"Whoa, the purple light... it's so... pretty..."
*Chomp*
"I feel... alive! I mean... dead! I mean... undead?"
Alvin returned properly alien pregnant. With everyone there to greet him from The Matchmaker there for Damon to buy some vamprocillin from, to Benjamin that once more I failed to figure out how to influence to bite Damon to get him infected in the first place. Hence the reason the bite took place at Benjamin's place. *headdesk*
"This place is a mad house."
I immediately sent Damon off to college so there was room for me to have twins.
"I need a taxi and some sunglasses. Stat!"
Points Earned: Two points in scholarships by Dylan and Damon. Half a point for Amalthea leaving a Platinum Grave. One point for Orion having 30 Best Friends.

Hey, awesome update! =) I'm amazed about Amalthea but! 90! Whoooeee. I haven't had a sim die of old age, but I doubt they'll live longer than 80. >...< Congrats on the great update!

I'm finally caught up with the University Legacy Challenge! I'll leave the regular Legacy Challenge alone. :P
But I just wanted to say, I love your Legacy! And I totally admire the way you do it, because I'm already to lazy to play until 10th generation, let alone have 2 bloodlines and loads of scholarships and all. ^^

Oh, your right! That explains a lot. (About the extra 1/2 point because of the undead thing). WOW- 90?! The oldest Sim I've ever had in my challenge lived to be about 82. And I hate it when elders live long, so wow! I love the Nightclub scenes, those were funny! (Are Gomez and Valkyrie even related? Who is Valkyrie's mom/dad?) And LOL at the Drag queen comment, I literally started laughing at my computer. Poor aliens, they get no respect...

Melanie - I think she was 86 or 87 when she died, nearly 90 but since I wasn't sure on the age I figured I'd put it around there. Amalthea was in my game for a very long time!
Ilse - Trust me, you aren't missing much with the legacy challenge, lots of fumbling, shifting story telling styles and bad graphics. :P Thanks for the nice comment.
Josh - Valkyrie's maternal dad was Achilles, Gomez's mom was Amalthea, Achilles and Amalthea were brother and sister so that makes Gomez and Valkyrie cousins, but since Gomez was adopted they aren't related by blood. I had to think about it for a moment and then I looked it up just in case I misremembered!
