Jane's Cottage
When I spent some time in Toledo a month ago I noticed a most peculiar thing. The entire city looked like its time of flourishing was over 100 years ago and then it just sort of became abandoned since then. Sorry if you're from there but after passing the 20th boarded up cottage straight out of the 1890's, not to mentioned the abandoned factories, malls, and high rises, the whole place seemed sort of derelict. Also while I was there I found a bookstore that was selling a book full of house plans from that same time period for only $2. It was a sign.
These cottages are fixer uppers. They have peeling paint, rough wood flooring, ripped up tiling, and furniture and windows and door frames that are so worn the orginal wood is showing through. Some of them are quintessential starters, you have the funds left over to buy the things you need to live in them as is. The rest are fixer uppers for a family with more money or items in their inventory to live on. Or you can motherlode them up and fix the place up immediately as you see fit, which is how I play though I don't know if that's how other people play.
This series of cottages are all named after Queens of England, no matter how short their reign might have been.
This is the first cottage released in this (short) series. Jane's Cottage is a quintessential starter with enough money left over to buy what you need to live in it. It's is a one bedroom, one bathroom place with a full unfinished basement for you to finish as you see fit. There is easily room for an additional small bedroom or two down there if you wish.

This sounds like a very cool project! I love realistic lots, and this house looks like something that would fit in the older neighborhood I live in. TFS!
