Pangea Gets Apartment Complexes

Filed under University Legacy Challenge > 4th Generation on June 15, 2007

Owain and Adriana's brood was steadily growing. They had adopted five children, three of them (Ishtar, Othello and Opal) were off at college, while the last two (Iago and Demetrius) were working on getting those last few scholarships. Adriana had then had her first son biologically, Aeneas, and so now there were six children. Iago was now making room for one more as he had finally gotten over his sickness, earned his last scholarship and was out the door. Though I think between just getting over his illness and the abduction just before that he was a little befuddled.

University Legacy Challenge

"What? College? What's that?"

Adriana then gave birth to a second son that I named Aeolus bringing the total number of their children up to seven.

University Legacy Challenge

"Which means there's only three more to go, thank goodness!"

Aeneas, of course, was still in the nursery being an adorable toddler.

University Legacy Challenge

"I can make notes float through the air!"

Finally! Demetrius earned his last scholarship and headed off to college. Now I just had the younger set from this generation to concentrate on.

University Legacy Challenge

"What? Wait! I haven't waved goodbye yet!"

Off at college the (still cramped, still dull) Greek House was being invaded by aliens. Here Vesta and Volund take advantage of the bubble blower to up their fun and social.

University Legacy Challenge

"I bet I can get higher then you can!"

Meanwhile I had been sticking everyone else into random starter houses all over the neighborhood as they graduated. It didn't look good. So I took my Two Family House and ended up putting copies of it all over the hills of Pangea. There should be enough for the next several generations. Later when I got Nightlife I moved them out and re placed the houses downtown with siding that matched the majority of the generation that lives there, then moved them back in. I also sold the bushes and replaced it with a stone wall and put in an iron gate. It looks much nicer now. For each house I put in four women and four men, when the max for a gender is met I put down a new apartment complex. I have a lot of unmarried, single Sims in my neighborhood, and four full apartment complexes in sixth generation.

Now that I had everyone that had graduated from college sorted into decent housing it was time to play college some more. I pledged and moved in Victoria next.

University Legacy Challenge

"Jeez, doesn't Nimue ever get off the phone?"

Just to make the alien infiltration more complete.

University Legacy Challenge

"Mmm... pizza."

Next I started pledging in the people that I had just sent to college. Such as Ishtar.

University Legacy Challenge

"Wow, the Greek House sure is... different."

In fact, Nimue didn't spend all of her time on the phone. She spent a significant chunk of it liplocked with her future hubby to be Martin.

University Legacy Challenge

*smooch*

After that I pledged in Valli, then switched back to the main lot.

University Legacy Challenge

"I'm not just green, I'm blindingly green!"

At the main house Adriana was pregnant.

University Legacy Challenge

"Again."

Aeolus had become an adorable toddler.

University Legacy Challenge

"Wearing green!"

And, on the same day that Aeolus age transitioned, Aeneas was finally ready to become a child.

University Legacy Challenge

"Glowing green!"

University Legacy Challenge

"Now, just wearing green."

It was at this point that I got this interesting glitch where no matter what Aeolus did or where he was he had little white Zzz's follow him everywhere.

University Legacy Challenge

"Silly game! I'm not tired!"

It wasn't long before baby number three was born, another son that I named Ajax. Owain and Adriana now had eight children.

University Legacy Challenge

"Oh. Yay. Another one."

Adriana was too close to the end of her life to have two more kids so I decided sacrifices had to made.

University Legacy Challenge

"Wow, that slice of cake looks good. Why do I feel like I've done this before?"

Adriana brought him back only to send him out to another cow plant to bring him back again.

University Legacy Challenge

"That wasn't so bad, was it?"

Thoroughly confused, Mercury went back to writing his novels while Owain and Adriana headed out to the Cow Plant garden to drink essence of Mercury, in this case a lifegiving substance, to the tune of five more days.

University Legacy Challenge

"This is so disgusting!"

Points Earned: One and a half points in scholarships by Iago and Demetrius.

I have a question, when you revive Mercury as a zombie, doesn't he lose skills and personality points? Or do you know exactly how much to spend?

no idea but good question

I usually "punish" myself and pay the full price, even though you don't need to get them to come back perfect. That way he comes back exactly how he was, no skill point loss, no inverstion of personality, etc. Poor Mercury has already been put through the wringer coming back as a Zombie, and then having his personality inverted again so he would be nice. :D
