Severus Snape Invades Windling Gables... Wait, What?
To recap from yesterday:
Our lovely heir of the moment is Elissa Windling, our third generation, first bloodline heir turned elder. She resides over Windling Gables with her pyromaniac of a celebrity chef husband, Robi at her side who used to be her mailman. She also lives with his alien daughter Vesta who is rather unfortunate in her looks. Also staying with the family is Elissa's cousin Belarius along with his two alien children, the lovely Victoria and the adorable Volund. Of course, Elissa's slightly eccentric, been-dead-a-time-too-many, uncle Mercury rounds out the current legacy house set up.

"Awww, Volund you are adorable! Coochie-coochie-coo!"
Soon it was time to shuffle Vesta off to college. Hopefully she would have more luck with a college make over then she did with her teen one. I'm so horribly, horribly vain, aren't I?

"And, maybe I'll get to make loads more friends! There certaintly are enough Windlings off at college right now for it!"
Meanwhile at college Nimue is blowing bubbles with Michelle and a cheerleader. It seems, in my legacy, that whatever teen goes off to college and grows up into a country western shirt is the one generally chosen to be heir. It was true with Venus and Minerva, it was true with Owain and it proved to be true with Nimue as well.

"Howdy, partner."
With Vesta moved out I had Ptah, yet another cousin of Elissa's, move in. He was just one more worm to dangle out on a hook for the PT. The sad thing is, I really do think of them like that. Nothing but bait.

"My God. It's full of stars!"
Belarius was slowly, very slowly, working his way up the Science career ladder. I'm not sure why, as he was already permaplat. I think at that point I thought: what they hey, I'll get loads of aspiration points from it! He also brought home several interesting characters.
One of them was Jan's lover Brandon Lillard. Jan by the way is Pan's parental figure type person that he lives with, she's actually his second cousin, since his father died about eleven generations ago.
Anyway Evander, Elissa's brother, had walked up on the lot to get in a game of pool and a free meal since all Windling's are outgoing mooches like that. He doesn't seem to approve of Jan's little love affair and felt the need to express himself.

"What do you mean you're in love? She's what, 50? How sick are you, anyway?"
Meanwhile, Mercury, was upstairs doing what he does best. Parenting the little ones in the nursery. I've said it once and I'll say it again, Mercury is the best parent any of these legacy children will ever have.

"Who's a big boy? You are! Awww, you are just too adorable!"
It wasn't long before Volund was out of the nursery and was running around and causing mayhem with his sister.

"We look bad in green, really, really bad."
The next person that Belarius brought home from work was a Sim I had downloaded and popped into my game during that phase of time between the end of my first legacy and the beginning of my second one, when I still had only the laptop and I was still dealing with crashes and such all the time. Yes, it was someone I had planned to torment, but ended up marrying him to another Sim and they had two hideous children together, which I guess was a type of torment for this individual. You guessed it, the Sim I put into my game was the delightfully horrid Severus Snape. (To put into prospective how long ago this was, it was a little over two years ago. Ergo, before HBP.)

"So, do I break?"

"Curses, all of my balls are in Gryffindor colors!"
After a game of pool, that he played by himself, he decided to head off in search for trouble.

"Ugh, what are you, some sort of Hufflepuff?"
I lured him into the hot tub to get him away from my Sims and when he got out he decided to come in and blow bubbles all on his own. The first time I had ever seen that Sim smile. He didn't even seem to mind that whether by accident or by sadistic game design the game had given him Gryffindor swim shorts, the bubbles distracted him from whatever ire he might have otherwise summoned completely.

"*giggle* *snort* *giggle*"
Another Saturday had rolled around. Family picture time!

Fourth generation, first bloodline: Belarius, Elissa, Victoria, Mercury, Volund, Robi, Ptah.
That night Victoria became a teenager. I rolled Knowledge. I'm loving this girl more and more all the time. Especially when her LTW turned out to be Max All Skills.

"I have a feeling I'm not going to be getting much sleep."
Once more Mercury stepped up to the plate and began helping her start working on maxing her skills.

"*tweet!* Move it, Victoria, we haven't got all night!"
Soon Volund was a teenager as well, I rolled Fortune. He ended up growing into studded leather, but since it had green in it, I let the poor kid keep it.

"Im distracted not attracted/You attach without connection/As I self serve my diffracted mind"
To give you a glimpse into the life of a teen at Windling Gables this is basically their schedule:
They spend their entire childhood earning skill based scholarships and I actually got really good about having them earn them to the point where they soon got them all before becoming teenagers.
From there I have them hop in the energizer at 6PM every evening and stargaze from 7PM to 4AM.
After that I have them work on their billiards scholarship. Four games of pool, two cup trick shots, three more games of pool and two xylophone trick shots that they do entirely by themselves later they earn that.
Then I have them get a job, the next person they bring home from school or work they invite to sit on a love seat and talk to until their daily is in the 60s then have them do homework to push their fun down, then have the two teens dance until the fun is full. That's usually enough to get the dance scholarship. (This method no longer works, once you have all the EPs and SPs. They can't earn the dance scholarship if they are dancing with someone else, they have to dance by themself, which seems backwards to me. How else are you going to improve unless you can see first hand what does and doesn't work?)
Two promotions later they are out the door with half a point in scholarships. If they get abducted at some point in the proceedings, it's a full point.

"It's skilling time!"
Robi starts another fire in the kitchen. I told him after he finished cooking and eating to go to the bathroom so as soon as his queue was broken by the fire he calmly walked out of the kitchen, leaving Belarius and Ptah to deal with the fire. Two Sims cannot fight a fire at the same time. Not unless one of them is a firefighter. Even one Sim fighting a fire sometimes seems to do absolutely no good.

"Darn it, Robi! Why won't this fire go down? A little help here!"
While mayhem was going on in the kitchen my teenagers Victoria and Volund were trying to quietly do their homework in the study.

"It's so hard to find the square root of things with that fire alarm going off every two seconds."
Sure enough the next time I sent Robi into the kitchen to cook a replacement meal he started a fire. Again. Keep in mind this is a man who moved in with maxed cooking skill. I don't know what to do with him.

"Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!"
Finally, Ptah managed to both reach the top of his career, fulfilling a lifetime want, but he also managed to earn §100,000 as well. Of course, the firefighter was there, again, probably another fire. I had him move out soon after.

"Wow, those aspiration points sure add up!"
Points Earned: One point for Ptah earning §100,000. Vesta earned half a point in scholarships.
Points Lost: One point for College Penalty (Orestes, Olivia, Belarius, Orion, Ptah).
