George McCarthy Gets Abducted
So, we have it that Elissa and Robi should be feeling a bit of an empty nest syndrome with their three children Nereus, Nimue and Vesta off at college. This is a legacy house though, so you know that's not how it is. Elissa's cousin Belarius is still living with them, as is his two children Victoria and Volund. Elissa's uncle Mercury of course also is still hanging around and getting into trouble.
Off at college Vesta is attempting to fit in. And, while a new 'do and some slightly different make up helped I think she still felt a bit out of place.
"Aren't there any other aliens here?"
Meanwhile George, as in McCarthy, had just graduated. I had him move into Windling Gables to earn §100,000 before moving back out again.
"This place is so much more colorful then the Greek House."
Soon after another Saturday rolled around.
"Fourth generation, first bloodline. Front row: Victoria and Volund. Second row: Elissa and Robi. Third row: Belarius, Mercury and George."
I spent the weekend getting Victoria and Volund into private school, since they both wanted it and were in desperate need of an aspiration boost.
"Hello, Mr. Headmaster sir. Interested in diversifying your school?"
I had Belarius serve the meal, since I didn't trust Robi not to burn it. He hadn't even finished setting the meals out on the table before the Headmaster took a seat at the head of the table and had woofed down half of his lobster thermidor. Mercury was not amused.
"I don't suppose your school will be teaching them any etiquette, will they?"
At 5PM I sent the teens to the energizers, at 6PM the adults and at 7PM Belarius, Victoria, Volund and George all headed out to the stargazing deck.
"Do you ever get the sensation we are dangling from the ends of hooks?"
Unfortunately the PT never bit. And, it wasn't long before Victoria and Volund were overacheivers. Volund was ready to be sent off to college, Victoria had not brought home a friend from either school or work once, so I was going to have to work something else out to get her a dance scholarship. I also wanted her to max her skills before she left.
"Alright, I need a dance partner, stat!"
"College, here I come!"
Here's Volund with his new college look.
"Isn't this place a little bland, and poorly lit?"
It wasn't long before I got him to register as a Biology major (hey, he wanted it) and had him working on his first term paper.
"Wow, where did I learn to type?"
Nereus and Nimue were also working away for those good grades. They were also getting ready to graduate soon. Poor things will just have to sit and wait for a whole generation before I'll let them do that though.
"Hey, what'd you get for number 11?" "What do you mean? We're not even in the same class!"
Vesta and Michelle were also hard at work. Michelle had a much better relationship with Owain then his beau to be Adriana did, too bad she wasn't a family Sim, I would have gone ahead and let her have him.
"What to title the paper? How about, 'Arranged Legacy Marriages Suck'?"
Back at the main house Mercury died... again. It's been such a long time I cannot for the life of me remember why he died. He was on the way to the energizer and either a ghost got him, or he just didn't make it. I immediately sent Robi to plead for his life.
"Don't take our zombie away from us! Please! We need him to watch the kids!"
So after a short game of guess which hand the ball is in, which Robi won, it was decided.
"Alright!"
Mercury was restored. Escaping the otherworld once again. Once Robi realised what he had done he didn't seem so pleased.
"Ugh, I'm an idiot. One more person to cook for."
It turned out to be a good thing. Once Victoria got home from work Mercury taught her how to really cut a rug on the dance floor. Since she had already maxed her skills and was in beautiful perma-plat, she was finally ready for college!
"Oh yeah! Work it, girlfriend!"
Off at college Nimue was deciding on her hubby to be and had finally settled on the maid, Martin Pratt.
"So. Here's §100. Now will you go out with me?"
I played until Michelle Kearny and Alon Livingston graduated. I move them into the main house and was ready for them to max their skills and then move on out. They both managed to max their skills but I only moved Michelle out. Alon made great alien bait.
"Great! So, where's your skills room? And, more importantly, where's your zombie?"
At this point in the game two shocking things happened in the same night. First off, Robi managed to cook a half decent breakfast, which everyone appreciatively smelled as soon as they entered the kitchen.
"Wow! Miracles really can happen!"
A few hours later the second shocking thing happened. That's right, another abduction.
"So, this is what I have to look forward to in this nut house?"
It was George McCarthy. And, of course, at his return I got a lovely baby lullaby.
"Yeah, it's not music to my ears either, Mercury."
Points Earned: Victoria and Volund earned one point in scholarships. One point for Victoria maxing her skills. One point for Alon maxing his skills. One point for Michelle maxing her skills.
