Belarius Windling Gets Abducted... Again
Wow, it's been a long time since I updated. First off, this legacy has not been abandoned. I did go ahead and install all of the Expansion Packs and Stuff Packs through Celebration though. I got them all for christmas and simply could not resist. After much deliberation and thought and hemming and hawing I decided to go through with this legacy and complete it with the Classic Legacy rules. I'm also going to mostly ignore the other expansion packs I have installed. At least for now. This is no longer really a university legacy but I am going to continue earning an insane amount of points straight to the end, just to prove it can happen. P.S. you will not notice the new EPs for quite a while as I'm about two generations behind on my blog.
For those of you who have not read this legacy before, it's boring. It's a log of how many points I've earned and how I've earned them. Mostly due to a scathing, "What do you mean you earned 53 points by third generation, that's impossible!" that I got on a forum once. I realised that I was going to need proof. This family has two bloodlines. The first has two children every generation (only the ones that do not become either family or romance Sims are considered for heirship) and spends the rest of the time with the men desperately trying to be abducted by aliens for those lovely alien baby points. The second has ten children every generation (the first five are adopted as children, all the faster to ship them off to college, the last five are born naturally and only the ones that become family Sims are considered for heirship). One generation is at the main house while the other is off at college. A zombie functions as placeholder while the shuffle takes place.
So! To bring you all up to speed after the lengthy hiatus. Elissa is my third generation, first bloodline heir and she is currently on the throne so to speak. She has a husband, the delightful mailman Robi. She lives with her cousin Belarius who has recently been abducted by aliens and has given birth to a lovely alien daughter (lovely due to a hack, of course) Victoria (victory over the PT's genes, that is). Also living with them is Vesta, Robi's not so lovely pre-hack alien daughter and Elissa's wayward zombie uncle Mercury who functions as a marathon novel writing live in nanny of sorts. Elissa's children Nereus and Nimue have just been shipped off to college. Another cousin of Elissa's, Orion, has just moved in to max his skills and move out again.
"I also get to spend my time watching the stars every night. I wonder why?"
Not long after Orion moved in, Vesta became a teenager. I rolled Popularity.
"Be honest with me. Do you think the blush helps?"
That night I got another abduction. How unbelievable is this? Belarius, after giving birth to his daughter Victoria only hours earlier was now abducted again. Okay, first off why would I lie about something like this, how lame would that be? Secondly, I did stop playing for a little while and ran all sorts of scans on my downloads folder seeing if a hack snuck in that would affect this aspect of game play. Nothing. I have no other proof to offer except that after this I did have whole adulthoods pass where a guy would never get abducted. I ended up doing a search on MATY and Pescado says that sometimes the game gets stuck in loops, or a sado random chance becomes not so random for some reason. It straightens itself out after awhile. And, it did in my game, eventually. As my final proof, I'm not the only person to get two abductions in a row like this, which believe me, makes me feel loads better!
"Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!"
Belarius was returned the following morning, to much laughter and cheers and another baby lullaby. Except poor Orion seemed more freaked out then anything.
"Who would I have thought I'd have to go through that again?"
Victoria was in the middle of being cared for when the cut scene came for Belarius' return. I thought it was odd when over half the day went by and the picture never went yellow signifying that she had wet her diaper and needed tending again. That's when I found her stuck to the floor, asleep. I had to force and error on her to fix her, apparently she went into some sort of stasis. Weird.
"It's almost like she's meditating..."
Here Belarius re-earned some skills after I stupidly got him electrecuted, whoops. Meanwhile Orion works on finishing maxing his for the first time.
"A knowledge Sim's work is never done."
It wasn't long before Victoria became an adorable toddler! All decked out in green, of course, fourth generation's color.
"I may look horrible in green, but I'm still cute!"
After that Elissa also celebrated a birthday, her last. My heir was going to finally become an elder.
"What to wish for? More diapers!"
Robi, my little celebrity chef wannabe, once more was proving what not to do in a kitchen. Don't get scared by ghosts while attempting to saute, you will end up soaked.
"Not again!"
All this going on while his beloved wife was trying to age transition. Luckily he didn't cause a fire. That time at least.
"And, you didn't burn the food either! Good, I was hoping we wouldn't have to resort to eating cake."
Gratuitious toddler picture.
"Squee!"
Once Belarius began showing I had him head to the nursery to meditate.
"It's less fuss this way, really."
Meanwhile, Vesta was working on earning some friends to help her aspiration. Imagine my delight when she brought home her half brother Pan. An alien from the legacy I had completed with this family with only the base game.
"You know what rocks about eternal teenhood? No work, no bills and you get to see the inside of other people's houses a lot!"
Once Orion maxed his skills it was time to say good bye. I had other people that needed to move on through before second bloodline could move in.
"So I learned everything about everything, now I just get to sit in some apartment somewhere and never age? Cool, I guess."
Robi is really, really not cut out for this chef thing.
"Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness! Darn it, Robi how many times do you have to try and burn down the house before you learn to turn the oven off when you're done with it!"
While Elissa and Robi were dealing with that little crisis in the kitchen, Vesta was having her own little crisis in the entrance hall. Pan seemed to be really into her, almost too into her.
"So... what's your sign?" "The same as yours! The one we both inherited from our PT father, you perv!"
Back in the kitchen: attempt two at dinner. Elissa tries to walk Robi through it.
"Now, the trick is... not to burn it! Okay?"
Saturday finally rolled around, to everyone's relief I think, including mine. That means, family portrait time!
Fourth generation, first bloodline. In front: Victoria, behind her Belarius, behind him Elissa and Robi, behind them Vesta and Mercury.
Now Belarius is really heavily pregnant and walking with quite the waddle. Is it a quirk that I love watching pregnant men walk around? It just makes me giggle.
"My back is killing me. How do women do this?"
He finally gives birth! And, it's a darling baby boy! I named him Volund.
"Wow, he has his daddy's eyes... and hair... and skin. Did he get anything from me?"
Points Earned: One point for Orion maxing his skills. One point for alien birth (Volund).

You are the legacy master! (Or, ummm, mistress? That doesn't sound right.) I love the Windlings.
Now I'm curious, where did you find the hack for prettier PT genes?

I ended up making it myself using a tutorial. Though there are multi PT hacks, etc that you can download at MTS2. So many people have asked after it that I think I will put it up for download here, largely because I lost the link to the tutorial. I'll try looking for it again though because I think it would be best to give credit if possible. :)

YAYness, Bitsy is updating! Wow, you are so lucky. I think my game is stuck, I've never had an abduction. But I am not as good as you... ^-^
