Nereus Windling Gets Abducted
Finally it was time for Nimue to grow up into a child. If it wasn't for Robi's abduction the nursery would get to take a little break at this point. No such luck. Now I'm sounding like Elissa, an alien point is an alien point after all.

"Help me blow out your candles, precious!"
Here's Nimue as a child.

"All dressed in green!"
Of course, just like past generations, Nereus and Nimue did enjoy blowing their share of bubbles.

"Hey, Nimue, I bet I can get higher then you!"
Not long after that Robi finally gave birth to his alien daughter. I named her Vesta.

"Well, at least she has my eyes."
I'm not sure what the kids thought of their new alien half sister.

"Can we do experiments on her?"
But, of course, I made sure Mercury kept them too busy to preform experiments on anybody.

"Aw, man."
Robi meanwhile abandoned his daughter to Mercury and went back to working on his friend base.

"So, Marylena, how's Asia, Selene, Cadmus, Charon and Perseus?"
Vesta, of course, still had a happy babyhood and before I knew it became a toddler. Unfortunately her looks did not improve with age.

"But at least I'm green!"
This is my one and only experiment with GunMod's lighting hack. To have it light the house evenly I would have to have redone the lighting and decorations in most of Windling Gables so I ended up taking it back out. It is in place for the alphabet legacy though since I figured it would be easier to deal with if you were working from scratch.

"How can you do homework in this light? Isn't it hurting your eyes?"
After finishing helping Nimue with her homework Mercury went and grabbed Nereus to get back to work on those scholarships.

"A Potential Heir's work is never done."
Since Mercury was busy with the older kids and Robi was busy with his friends, and Remus was usually busy sleeping, Evander had since moved out, that left Elissa to watch over the toddler and teach her everything she needed to know.

"There! Now that you know how to walk maybe you can toddle to the potty faster so you don't wet your diaper all the time!"
With the way I play my game Mercury is really the best parent any of these kids have. The heir and the spouse are usually too busy to do much parenting.

"Jeez, Marisa don't you with you could just get away some times?"
Soon these kids were going to become a lot more self sufficient.

"Make a wish!"
For Nereus I had rolled Family.

"Eight ball in the corner pocket!"
Nereus wasn't the only one celebrating a birthday. Vesta was finally out of the nursery.

"When you have green skin it's hard to wear green and look good."
That night Nereus went to meet his sister's other biological parent, much to Nimue's chargin.

"Don't worry, sis, he's with Daddy now."
Nereus did not seem to enjoy the experience.

"Vesta's dad is so weird!"
Then again, so was Vesta.

"Great Uncle Gemini is so dreamy."
Nereus was in desperate need of a friend to boost his aspiration. So I had him go to Windling Market to chat up one of the shopkeepers.

"You so will not believe what happened to me this weekend."
Finally, Nimue became a teenager and for her I rolled Knowledge.

"Guess that makes me heir, big brother."
Points Earned: One point for alien birth (Vesta). One point for Evander's impossible want to have Thirty Best Friends.

Haha, oh dear... "Great Uncle Gemini is so dreamy"!
GunMod's lighting mod is horrible for gameplay... you need entirely too many lights and it's difficult to build because everything is pitch black when closed in. I'm starting to adjust, because I need it for the story, but if I was doing pure gameplay, it wouldn't be in my game.

Vesta is the Latinized form of Hestia. Hestia means "hearth, fireside" in Greek. In Greek mythology Hestia was the goddess of the hearth and domestic activity.
My husband hasn't said anything about the lighting hack causing problems (it's on his computer) but I will definitely look into that when I rebuild the house for him once he has the money for it. We might end up taking it out if it makes it too difficult to play. I like pretty pictures, but I do like game play even more. Thanks for the heads up.
