Arcade Coin-Op Founds an Alphabet Legacy

Filed under Alphabet Legacy Challenge > Founder Generation on January 23, 2007

So here I am, making an entry in a blog I normally loathe reading. *wink* That was a JOKE! But yeah, Bitsy convinced me to do a joint alphabet legacy with her. So here you are, sitting in front of a computer, looking forward to another of Bitsy's updates, and you get stuck with me instead. Don't worry! I understand, if it was me I'd be upset too. But with any luck you'll go and fix your self a strong drink and enjoy my humor as much as I do. Tea of course, that's tea - not alcohol, keep your mind clean there might be little people around! Speaking of strong drinks, did you see that last episode or ER. I'm anxious to see what happens with that drink and with the crazy man in the other apartment. But wait, something tells me I'm not supposed to be talking about ER.. but what am I supposed to be talking about? Oh yeah! Arcade and Boink Coin-Op!

Bitsy got me this cool T-shirt for Christmas, she does that by the way because we're married if you didn't know. Though I will admit it's odd to keep referring to her as Bitsy and not ****. Wow, did you see that, automatic word filtering. Anyways, Bitsy got me this T-shirt for Christmas from Think Geek that says "Insufficient Memory" on the front in big blocky letters. And if you've read a single word I've written here thus far you'll understand why she got me that shirt. Unless you, like me, suffer from insufficient memory and have therefor already forgotten what I said before and why I should get such a T-shirt (that's the Think Geek T-shirt by the way). But something is wrong here, again... Oh yes! The Coin-Ops.

I got to start the alphabet legacy, or pre-start it. Something about the first generation not following the naming scheme or some such. I don't remember. But I have started us on this joint legacy adventure, and so far everybody is still alive and there's only been one small fire. Meet Arcade (the human thing) and Boink (the cat thing).

Alphabet Legacy Challenge

This dynamic, all male, duo is to be the start of a grand legacy.

Alphabet Legacy Challenge

First thing is first, after buying this crazy big lot, and putting a crazy small house on it, we need more money. So it's hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work they go!. First Boink heads off for his first day as a extra for the local Hollywood scene.

Alphabet Legacy Challenge

He's got a pretty nice looking ride too. All clean and well kept. I can tell that this cat is headed straight for stardom!

Alphabet Legacy Challenge

A few hours later Arcade is off to work, playing the role of local underdog.

Alphabet Legacy Challenge

Now that my two guys have something of "jobs" they need to work on getting some skillz so they can actually make money and start pimping out their bachelor pad to help pick up some ladies. Can you just see it, the guy stays up endless nights working out, trying to get the perfect body and then drinking a toast to his non-existant six pack. Little does he realize that he's getting more of a beer belly from his six packs than a six pack. Doesn't he understand that there's a difference? Apparently not.

Alphabet Legacy Challenge

What else would you expect the cat to do? Not like you need any actual skills to work in Hollywood. Boink's Role Model is Britney's Dog Lucky. He sees nothing in his way of living the good life and farting it up within a few years, perhaps with a little of the natural style that is gifted to cats instead of dogs.

Next Arcade decided it was time to go shopping for a girl. As good as bachelor life is treating the boys at home, he is a family sim after all. He went out to a restaurant with about 2 dollars on hand and ordered a 12 dollar plate of spaghetti. The Waitress brought out the first plate and spilled it down Arcade's front - what a cheap way to make an introduction. Don't worry little lady he's already checked you out.

Alphabet Legacy Challenge

After a few phone calls and an interruption or two, sorta like my train-of-thought...

Alphabet Legacy Challenge

He invited her over for a evening of 'getting to know each other better'.

Alphabet Legacy Challenge

And before he knew what was going on she was lying next to him snoring away!

Alphabet Legacy Challenge

Tune in next time for some Family Sim Fun!

I'm so confused about what I just read... Who is the lady? Why are they named the Coin-Ops? Will Boink find love? And who chose these names?

LOL I was worried about that! I will attempt to explain.

The lady is a waitress who is yet to be introduced. They are named the Coin-Ops because this is going to be an arcade themed legacy, hence the name of the founder. Each generation will be named alphabetically (all 26 that take place after this!) after arcade games, the next generation will have A names, the one after that B names and so on.

Simulatenously there is going to be a cat alphabet legacy with Boink the founder, his children will be similarly named alphabetically after sound effects.

My little brother chose the naming theme, but we named the Sim and the cat together. I think I'm going to cross post this in a post containing the rules to the alphabet legacy challenge just so everyone is not hopelessly lost. Sorry for the confusion!

Oh okay, thanks. I read the rules, and this challenge is HARD! I will never try it.
