Jasmine Datlow Gets Married
Jasmine and Jacqueline graduated from college, leaving a tattered, haunted dorm in their wake. From there Jasmine moved back in with her parents to continue the good fight with autonomoty, while Jacqueline bought a cute little bungalow and invited her beau Prof. Odysseus Cloudkicker over and married him on the spot.
(I know, I know Cloudkicker isn't a name from mythology but points to whoever can guess where it does come from!)

Jasmine meanwhile invited over the love of her life, Prof. Faline. I was a little worried that the same sex unions wouldn't work and that Flora wouldn't get her lifetime want, but as soon as Jasmine got married I got the pop-up and Flora shot into Platinum and stayed there.

The first thing Faline did once I got her dressed in some new clothes and changed her appearance was head straight to the stereo to boogie down. She couldn't really dance. At all. But that look on her face was just so precious. Normally it takes me awhile to start to like new spouses, especially since I can never control them and so they effortlessly piss me off for a few days. I started liking Faline right away.

I had Jasmine dance with her to show her some new moves. Faline seemed less the impressed, I guess she liked her awkward dance moves.

I lucked out with the newspaper and got Faline a job in the medical career, which coincided with her lifetime want. I had no idea what her skills were at so I just got out the trusty Prima guide and started working on the ones she would need to reach the top of the career.

Meanwhile Jordan and Flora had a very PG rated elderhood. They didn't interact romantically at all, but instead speant their time chatting, telling each other jokes and having pillow fights. It's like a never ending sleepover here at the Datlow house.

Saturday morning and all three autonomous Sim's are relaxing in the family bedroom. Nice to know I'm not the only one to laze around on a Saturday.

Faline starts to get in good with the in-laws by telling a joke to her father-in-law Jordan. She built up a suprisingly high relationship with both of them in the little time they had left.

Later in the morning I had Jasmine invite Faline for a game of chess in an attempt to earn those high logic points. Yes, that's a picture of Jasmine playing chess as a child in the background.

No autonomous woohoo hacks are installed so no autonomous woohoo for Jordan and Flora. They just relax and chat for several hours and then wander off to do other things. Their elderhood was really rather boring.

The older Jordan got the worse his bladder control issues turned out to be. Here Jordan answered the phone and chatted a while then hung up so that he could complain of low bladder, then the phone rang again and he answered it again, chatted and hung up so that he could wet his pants. Then the phone rang a third time and, while standing in a puddle of his own urine, he answered the phone a third time and started to chat again. Here his wife comes up behind him and, moments after this picture was taken, starts to mop up the mess.

Then she starts queing up interactions with him because, hey, he isn't the only one with low social.

It was to no avail. I wonder what the person on the other end would have thought of the fact that Jordan was blithley chatting away with him with soaking wet underwear? It seems there is senility in the Sims 2.

Meanwhile, Jasmine and Faline worked together to get the last few skill points Faline needed to reach the top of her career.

That night Flora passed on. The look on Faline's face seems to say: "So... this is death, huh?" She's not impressed.

The next day Faline brought home a friend from work that immediately took advantage of the hot tub out front. Later she comes in to chat only for the both of them to have to put up with Jordan, who had just wet himself again, wanting to give Faline a hug. Both of them seemed pretty grossed out by the concept.

That night Faline and Jordan chose to share the upstairs bed while Jordan had dreams about wetting himself again.

It seems that this happens at least once in a generation now. Jordan flushes, the shower water gets too hot and Faline jumps out early to yell at Jordan for being so thoughtless. I guess I should be thankful that Jordan made it to a toilet this time.

It quite traumatised Faline though. Actually her aspiration was suffering at that point and she would burst in to tears all the time at the littlest thing, poor girl.

At this point in the challenge, for the very first time, I had an auotnomous Sim get sick. Jordan came home from work sick with the flu. He was an Ecological Guru, so after letting him shower I had Jasmine invite him to relax on the bed with her until the disease passed.

Jordan kept getting up to cough and splutter but I just invited him to relax again and he would settle back down.

Unfortunately the contact meant that Jasmine soon got sick too.

Jordan never did get better. Since ten or so days hadn't passed and the hula girls were present and it was 6PM I assumed Jordan died of old age, the Platinum grave proved I was right.

By the next morning Jasmine was better and I sent her off to her new job at the top of the Show Business career. The Show Business career pays more money per week and allows my torch holder to be home in the evenings. So no more Ecological Gurus for the Datlows.

A few days later Faline made it to the top of the Medical career, putting her in perma-platinum.

It also set me at ease to go ahead and finally start sixth generation.

Woohoo! More Datlows makes me a happy Mao. :) The shot of everyone lounging on the bunkbeds was really cute.
I didn't think the "expensive" shower was supposed to have the plumbing issue, but apparently it does. I've experienced it in my game, too. It's a bit of a pain when it happens to an uncontrollable sim in the midst of a shower...

Years YEARS too late, but for the points I'll say Cloudkicker was Kit's last name on Tail Spin.
Really really enjoying going through your archives here, much belly laughter indeed!
