The Carlton

Filed under Downloads > 1920s Homes on August 18, 2006

I just got a new book, Classic Houses of the Twenties. I've been having so much fun building them that I have set aside a whole category of my site to feature them. This one is the first I deicded to try and build, it's called The Carlton. It's a three bedroom, two and a half bathroom home. I tried to keep true to the twenties feeling and hid most technology minded things in the basement. This house is designed to house either an avid gardner or someone with a daily gardner hack. Also, some of the flower beds are inaccessible and so you will either need an always perfect plants hack or to delete those few that are innaccessible to the gardner. Both hacks can be found at More Awesome Than You. The house looks nice either way. I left room to the left of the lot for a driveway.

AWESOME house, Bitsy! I'm downloading it for sure. I have a book called "Small Homes of the 1920s" and I absolutely love it, especially for buildling starters. I love how you tried to stay true to the decor of the times. The design in the carpet is really cool.
