Minerva Windling Deals with Ghosts
It's been forever since I blogged about my Windlings as well... Bad Bitsy!
To bring you up to speed... Minerva, my heir and her husband Gaston have two children Evander and Elissa. Staying with them is Minerva's brother Atlas and a family friend named Cornelius who had previously been abducted by aliens and had given birth to an alien son the same day Evander was born named Vulcan.
With so many extra adults around there is always somone free to help a child earn skill points for a scholarship. Whether they want to earn them or not.

Not that it was all work and no play for my legacy kids. Generally I have them blow bubbles as soon as they get home from school, then eat chili con carne (it fills hunger slowly but well and allows social to fill and relationships to be built) before heading to bathroom and bed, then shower, homework, bubbles and skill build until 4AM then eat breakfast and go back to bed again until the school bus arrives. Yes, I've heard it looks bad to have kids blow bubbles, but I think it's cute! Here Evander and Vulcan blow bubbles with their new friend Hades.

That night Amy and Zeus began haunting with a vengence. I had never had to deal with ghosts on this level before as they always just stayed in the mausoleum. But, now they are out, they're about, and they are pissed off.

Nonetheless Elissa managed to safely become a toddler. And, a cute one at that.

The ghosts seemed less then pleased.

They even began terrifying the children!

It was getting to where I could get nothing done while the ghosts were out.

I ended up being so distracted by ghosts that I didn't see how this happened:

Um, ew?

She got out alright... but that was just gross. She didn't even get any of her "potty skill" built that time.

The ghosts didn't let up even after that traumatic experience.

They haunted straight through till dawn. They didn't stop haunting until nearly 8AM, a full hour after sunrise. I should note that all of the above ghost pictures were taken in one night. I'm pretty sure there were some that I missed too.

They didn't scare the toddler at least, I'm not sure if a ghost can, even though I've seen toddlers get fears of it. The ghosts hardly haunt upstairs at all. Elissa was able to earn her Charisma Scholarship in peace.

It was at this point in the game that I started taking portraits in a special photo studio I had built into the house but hadn't used yet for some reason. Later I started getting good about it and taking a family snapshot every saturday morning. Anyway, this is merely the first and I wasn't that consistent in the beginning.

The ghosts continued to haunt and be generally annoying. I seriously considered tearing down the entire house and building it on the ground to avoid the issue. There were a few little things I was unhappy with and wanted to touch up anyway. I ultimately decided against it because I'm just too lazy to tear down a million dollar house just to avoid some ghosts. At the time I didn't think it was worth it and besides it would technically break the free romaing ghost rule. (Not that I wasn't already just by putting them in a room.)

Everyone's needs got to be so low by the morning from the ghosts that a breakfast was pretty much necessary. I was now up to three meals a day instead of just two. Ah well, they do look domestic at least, don't they?

The boys Evander and Vulcan, of course, didn't stand up well to the nightly abuse and ended up passing out as soon as they got home from school. Poor things.

That night my one protected member of the family was now old enough to be ghost bait. Elissa was now officially a child.

Next time, more bubble blowing and some of the third generation kids become teenagers, to their peril.

That ghost haunting must be irritating. If it was me in that position, I'd probably, like, delete the graves or something. Heh...

Wow, I've never had such problems with ghosts! Of course so far the most tombstones I've had on one lot has been 3...but still. My ghosts have been super nice so far!
