Cornelius Fielding Gets Abducted
It was at about this point in the game that I realized that Minerva was too playful to meditate through a pregnancy. I tried to build up her relationship with her mother Amy and have Amy influence her to be more serious. I managed to get Minerva's playful rating to drop from 10 to 9 before it was time for Amy to go...

Meanwhile, Minerva had finally acheived her lifetime want to become a Mad Scientist. Now I finally felt good about letting her get started on third generation, as I at least could count on the energizer as back-up.

Minerva wasn't the only working at the time, I just wanted to get this shot in of my founder Zeus heading off to work as an Ecological Guru. I had Minerva switch to this career track after her first day as a Mad Scientist, it made more money.

Soon after that I had Minerva and Gaston get married in a simple entrance hall ceremony because I was builded out at the time and didn't feel like building the family a decent mausoleum, let alone a wedding chapel of any sort.

Minerva has really warmed to him over the years and seemed quite eager to get on to some baby making.

The next morning Minerva left for her new job as an Ecological Guru, that night the three "boys" Gaston, Atlas and Cornelius stargazed as per usual and I got lucky.

I didn't get any good shots because I was completely shocked that I got a video! It was pretty cool watching Gaston and Atlas freak out while Cornelius slowly came to the realization that the mother ship had come for him. Needless to say, he wasn't pleased.

I thought it was so cute that both Minerva and Cornelius were pregnant at the same time. At least Cornelius was serious enough that I could send him off to meditate, Minerva had to be watched the entire time.

Zeus was rather excited at the prospect of potentially meeting a grandchild in person instead of just knowing about them using his amazing psychic powers.

Unfortunately, it just wasn't meant to be...

For the most part I had Minerva paint through the rest of her pregnancy and always had the energizer in her qeue so that if things got to bad she could do and take care of it herself.

Finally though, it was time for third generation to arrive on the legacy lot!

Minerva gave birth to a son that I named Evander.

Gaston was thrilled, as was I. I almost wished it had been twins though, then Minerva wouldn't have to through another pregnancy!

Three hours later Cornelius came out of his peaceful meditation in the entrance hall and went into labor.

He also gave birth to a son that I named Vulcan. So it's almost like having twins anyway.

It was so cute watching the father's care for their new born sons. I'm so glad Evander wasn't born with any obvious facial defects from his father, of course there's no real way to know until they are much older.

Too bad the same couldn't be said for Vulcan. Talk about going from one extreme to the other with their noses!

Points Earned: 1 point for Zeus and Amy dying in Platinum. 1 point for third generation. 1 point for new NPC type in bloodline (Llama Mascot). 1 point for alien birth.

Ooh, I always hate having twins. I mean, when they're babies, it's all right, but once they get to be toddlers, it's torture. It's bad enough having one kid screaming to be let out of a crib just when your adult Sims are sleeping and needing to be attended to when the parents are in horrible moods and trying to teach them how to walk/talk/use a toilet simultaneously... but two?! Uh-uh. Not for me. Whatever floats your boat, though. Oh, and before I forget-- Zeus looks REALLY weird in that uniform. *blink*
