Social Bunnies Invade Windling Gables
When I sent Minerva and Gaston back to Windling Gables I didn't actually play them for about a week. The Windlings had amassed nearly a million simolineons so I tore down the windowless two bathroom, two bedroom shack and rebuilt a much larger windowed home. I skipped doing outside decorations for now, and the mausoleum, and just concentrated on getting a nice structure built for the family. I had the new couple make use of the new skills room first thing.

Gaston wanted to max his skills but Minerva was more interested in becoming a Mad Scientist, so I got her started on that first thing as well.

Like I said before I was getting a little tired of the Victorian wear because I was sick of seeing my Sims constantly wearing the same things. So this is the last time you will see Zeus and Amy in their formal Victorian wear. I decided that I would do a color theme, dressing each generation in a specific color like I do with my ISBI family. I have a feeling it will help keep things from getting too confusing for me since I am planning on having two family lines.

Here you can see a nice outside shot of the front of the house, as well as the deck that holds six most expensive telescopes. At that point I had begun merging other Windlings and friends into the house. I had re-rolled Atlas' aspiration to be knowledge so he was there maxing his skills, and Cornelius was also there to get his skills maxed as well. I had Atlas, Cornelius and Gaston stargaze every night from 7pm until 4am. There was a very slight chance (0.05% every seven Sim minutes) that one of them would be abducted. I was hoping for an alien baby.

With four knowledge Sims in the house things got a bit hectic from time to time. Here it almost seems as if Minerva was checking with Cornelius if it was okay to scan his chocolate machine. It wasn't. The game jumped her out of the interaction and took off her thinking cap and made her drop her scan gun. I started just having her scan in the kitchen because that would happen every time she scanned a career reward that was in use.

Once I had Gaston in perma-platinum I had him use the cosmetic surgeon machine, because he quite honestly had a face only a mother could love.

First attempt didn't go so well...

... it all worked out though.

The knowledge Sims all maxed their skills in fairly short order so I decided to start another challenge. I turned off free will and set most of them to painting and started letting their social decay.

The first two were pink! Not what I wanted at all. Even the bunnies seem to be lamenting their color.

They were Atlas' and Gaston's and for some reason they didn't get along at all.

When they weren't shoving and picking on each other Gaston's would come over and make fun of him.

Then the two bunnies began slapping each other around.

Soon they were in an all-out brawl.

One was defeated and he hopped off and disappeared. Great, I thought, until Atlas' new social bunny fell from the sky. He was blue!

I had Atlas prepare Chili con Carne. A lot of people think the food processor is useless, but it speeds up the preperation of this particular meal which is great for building both hunger and social. Even a sloppy Sim will have their hunger filled slowly by this meal.

The social bunnies kept it up a good way through the meal before finally disappearing.

For the few Sims that didn't get their social built up enough from the meal, I had them sit in the skills room and chat.

Now I see where Minerva gets her surly temper from, and here I thought it was just because she was a Windling.
Points Earned: 4 points for Minerva, Gaston, Cornelius and Atlas maxing their skills. 2 points for Social Bunny Romance.
Points Lost: 1 point for College Penalty (Zeus, Amy, Sophie, Minerva, Gaston).

Social Bunnies Invade Windling Gables? That's my second favorite title so far, beaten only by Zeus Windling Deals With Bugs (I laughed out loud at that one).
Gaston's new face is definitely better than the last one, and the social bunny interactions were definitely interesting. Nice update!
