Zeus Windling Has Kids
Since both Zeus and Amy were Family Sims I decided to go for the ten kid impossible want. I figured the house would probably never be this empty again, so what better time to try for it? I wanted to attempt the challenge with no elixer. But, just in case I decided to make a temporary sacrifice to the cow plant. I had Amy invite her old Professor, Prof. Pyrrhus, to move in and then sent him out to Amy's cow plant.

It was great how easy it was to earn that too. I had both Zeus and Amy max their skills to make it easier to earn career reward objects and every time they used a computer to get a job in a university career track they would immediately unlock that career reward object without ever going to work! Anyway, Pyrrhus didn't stay dead for long, I had Amy bring him back with the resurect-o-nomitron. I wanted him around as a baby-sitter for the kids so the parents could continue to earn career reward objects.

I then had Zeus adopt a child a day for the next five days. First there was Atlas, my second Atlas in the game. Then Lorelei who happened to have my second favorite skin/hair color combination. Third was Diana who was adopted in punk rock clothes and obstinately changed into a different set of punk rock clothes at every age transition until adulthood. Here she is in a simple blue gingham dress.

She was also my first glitch at the new Windling Gables. For some reason her arm got caught in a curled up position and was stuck there for a day or two. Here she is playing cops and robbers with Hephaestus' daughter Pasiphae with her arm still stuck like that.

That day Zeus adopted a fourth child, Embla who was cursed with the Ugly Face Template. You can see Diana's arm is still curled up.

On the fifth day Zeus adopted a little boy named Odin, now the house is full until a kid leaves for college, or Pyrrhus kicks the bucket. Here you can see Odin playing chess in the corner while Atlas and Lorelei, now teens, work on the Creativity scholarship.

Here Pyrrhus works with Diana on her Mechanical scholarship. He was really essential to getting these teens their scholarship in a very timely manner. I am definitely looking forward to creating a Zombie, most likely using one of these second generation kids, to be around and help future generation earn scholarships and max skills quickly.

Unfortunately Pyrrhus was not destined to be around for too terribly long. He passed away in Platinum after having maxed his skills and helping Lorelei, Diana and Odin towards their goal of maxing theirs.

Now with five children adopted I decided to have Zeus and Amy work on having biological children.

Three days later Amy gave birth to a baby boy I named Mercury. Amy is finally part of the bloodline!

It was amusing to see Lorelei make a bee-line for the nursery to scan her new baby brother.

Not long after that Atlas was finally ready to head off to college with §9,500 in his pocket.

Zeus and Amy then had another child, a daughter I named Venus.

Her older siblings brought home several friends that day so they all swarmed into the nursery to see the new addition. Michael Rogna (my husband's Sim), Violet Williams (my brother's Sim) and Europa Windling all hung out in the nursery until dinner at which point they promptly stole Diana's, Embla's and Odin's meals. I had to have Amy make dinner twice to feed everyone.

Mercury and Venus grew into toddlers, and thankfully it seems Amy's nose tempered Zeus' nose a bit in their genetics so there noses don't stick out five Sim inches from their face, which is nice. They are a tad wide though. Also around that time Embla moved out, she wasn't a knowledge Sim so as soon as she earned §9,500 in scholarships I just had her leave. Lorelei, Diana and Odin, being Knowledge Sims, were going to stay until they had maxed their skills, and earned the other scholarships (dance, billiards, good grades, work) as well.

I was really pushing it with Mercury I manged to have him earn both the Charisma and Creativity scholarships before growing up but I was very lucky in managing to get "Learn to Talk" into his que before he age transitioned into a child, or else he would have grown up very poorly indeed.

He managed to grow up just fine though and I had Odin help him work on his Cleaning scholarship. I just love how kids freak out when I tell them to use the gun, they are so terrified they are going to break it, poor things.

Their little celebration dance is pretty cute too. Here Mercury is celebrating discovering that Odin was the last person to use the Lie Detector. Odin didn't seem very impressed though.

Number eight is born, another daughter, I named her Minerva. That's eight down and two to go. I cut it too close, so the last two children will have to be adopted.

Points Earned: One point for new NPC in the family bloodline (Newspaper Carrier). One point for Pyrrhus maxing his skills. 1/2 point for Pyrrhus dying in Platinum. One point for new ghost type (White). One point for Atlas and Embla earning §9,500 in scholarships. Two points for earning all career reward objects.
