Zeus Windling Deals With Bugs
The night before I had adopted Alana, right after Alana came I had Zeus make the call to adopt a tenth child, Gemini, who arrived the day Zeus and Amy became elders. Of course, when it came time for Minerva to grow into a toddler things couldn't go as smoothly. Bugs this early in the game aren't the least bit reassuring, let me tell you.

Before I could get her another cake she wet her diaper (of course) so I had Zeus take her back upstairs to change her diaper. Just then Pyrrhus began haunting, guess he wanted to watch the charade.

He then went and scared Mercury, poor kid.

As you saw Zeus had aged into an Elder, I made sure to squeeze in painting his portrait at the last minute. Then I had him throw an Anniversary party. With all the adopted kids around it was easy to get a Roof Raiser score and that put both Zeus and Amy into perma-platinum.

Minerva did grow up just fine by the way. It was at this, very early, point that I decided to go for two family blood lines. I knew just then that one of these three kids would be made into a zombie, and the other two would found seperate blood lines that would merge in the tenth generation.

Here you can see Venus, now a child, Gemini and Alana. It was kind of irritating dressing them in Victorian clothes at this point. They were wearing all the same clothing past generations of Windlings had worn. Even with the new graphics card that was making these outfits appear like all new clothing I knew it was going to get boring really quick, but I wasn't sure what I was going to do about it.

Here Zeus wants to be friends with Alana so I have the two of them play chess together. Unfortunately Zeus is a true Windling and so cheats shamelessly throughout the game. Sweet little Alana fell for it every time.

Meanwhile, Lorelei, Diana and Odin had all long since maxed their skills and left the house with §9,500 each. I finally went to play them and had them pledged and moved into the new improved Fruhma Urele Nagard. Sophie was still there from last generation as was Atlas and Embla.

They didn't fit in so well, here Embla lectures Diana for breaking the toilet. Yes, they have public toilets, public showers, and rows of beds, dormitory style.

I kept them on pretty tight schedules too. I fulfilled a power want before finals, then when they came back had them hop in the energizer and write their termpaper. I had them paint for fun and chat on cellphones with friends from home or blow bubbles for social. Once a painting was complete I had them take care of needs and after waking up and showering complete three homework assignments in a row. This way they didn't have to go class for about half of the semester.

Meanwhile back on the main lot Minerva and Alana continued work on their logic scholarship. Minerva is very much her father's daughter and so is cheating her way through the game.

Alana has wised up though and catches her at it.

I found out if you cancel the interaction while they are innocently looking behind them to see what their opponent has pointed out to them then they will remain stuck that way for a bit.

While working on their body scholarship.

While eating.

While walking.

And, even while peeing. It stopped there though. Apparently both the toilet and the tub can break Sims out of the pose.

Mercury and Alana both became teens. I sent them to a community lot because Alana had grown up into the most hideous combination of default clothing ever.

And, Mercury needed a cellphone and to pick up some groceries for the family.

Take a good look at Mercury now, because this is the last you will see of this handsome face. Family Sim or no, I figure I have a 50/50 chance of getting him into a decent aspiration at college (Popularity, Fortune, or my choice). This boy is going to be my first zombie.

Points Earned: Three points for Lorelei, Diana and Odin maxing their skills. A point and half for Lorelei, Diana and Odin earning §9,500 in scholarships. Two points for Zeus and Amy having ten children.
