Two Family House
Two Family House is loosely based on a house plan my husband found in a pre-fab modern book. I asked him to find me a house to build and of course he picked an unconventional one that I thought would be too hard to build and useless to play. I tried it anyway. It's a house I've been attempting on and off since Christmas, and I'm finally happy enough with it that I both want to offer it for download and play it soon myself!
Two Family House is just that, a house designed for two families, each taking up a floor. I took the idea a step further and designed the downstairs to be a bachelorette pad, and the upstairs to be a bachelor pad, each designed to accomodate four Sims.
The shared space is made up of a back patio with grill and seating for eight, some chess tables, an alcove with a most expensive telescope, and a lap pool with lounge chairs down the right side of the lot. I think there just might be enough space for two small driveways to the front right of the lot, I was never real clear on how wide a driveway is in the Sims 2.
I know that Open for Business is supposed to come with some lockable doors but from what I understand you can't give access to only half of the family. If you want to replace the doors to each apartment with a door that can be accessed by only half of the family on the lot I would recommend Simlogical's four key doors that can be found here that has been moved here (second post) and is now kindly hosted by The Laden Swallow as Simlogical no longer exists. There is even one that is identical to the doors I use on the lot so you don't have to change the look of the place.
Warning: lots of bushes and trees, high performance graphics cards only! I tried to make all the bushes and flowers accessible for the gardner, please let me know if there is a portion that I missed.
