Fatima Datlow Has Children
After Fatima had earned the Chocolate Machine I was able to have her work with Hippolyta to get the poor woman's low cooking skill maxed. She still had problems keeping herself well fed though, even with her cooking Lobster Thermidor for just about every meal.

I had them max Hippolyta's Logic, after many, many, many games.

I then had them max Hippolyta's Cleaning skill. It was kind of amusing watching Hippolyta alternately scan things and cower behind Fatima when she thought she had broken the gun.

It got rather late in their lives, so I had Fatima switch jobs one last time to the Natural Science career and then had her take a sip of the Elixer of Life so that she could get pregnant with fourth generation. Hippolyta age transitioned on her own.

Before too long it was time for Fatima to give birth, and can I just say that the birth videos are really, really cute?

She gave birth to a baby boy, again a blonde, that I named Jamal.

Of course, this meant that once again I was dealing with an elder trying to autonomously take care of small children. Here Hippolyta assumes that since Jamal wet his diaper that must mean that it's time to fill the tank again, so to speak. Forget the whole "change diaper" step.

After holding Jamal for quite a while she finally dropped him to complain of really low bladder. Fatima rescues her son from the floor while Hippolyta does "the dance".

From the nursery she went back upstairs to sleep in the upstairs bed for a few minutes before getting up and wetting herself. Silly elders.

Before long Jamal was a cute toddler. Here he autonomously works on his Charisma, completely ignoring his mother Hippolyta off camera. I love that about toddlers. It allows them to get so much more done in a day.

Hippolyta has a bad habit of burning her Lobster Thermidor and then leaving it in the stove. After it starts to rot, Fatima goes back and fishes the food out. That is just nasty, right there.

Here Hippolyta tries to pick up Jamal because he is having a sleep desperation but then she has to cancel the interaction so that she could wet herself. Fatima is there to rescue Jamal, Hippolyta ultimately needs to be influenced to clean something to get her out of the nursery as she attempts to fish Jamal back out of the crib he is sleeping in.

Fatima goes through the whole birth song and dance again to have the spare. Due to the Elixer she had to take to make this possible, this makes her and Hippolyta go from being the same age to being nine Sim days apart.

While Hippolyta was there at the beginning of the birth cut-scene, by the end she was gone. I looked around and found her lounging on the loveseat in the nursery. Apparently Fatima's labor was very boring to watch.

She seemed excited enough once her son was born though. I named him Jordan. (I was watching Bernie Mac at the time, so sue me.)

Soon it was time for little Jamal to grow up. When he's in his diaper that hair style makes his head look really big.

That same night it was time for Jordan to become a toddler. Best find a toy quick before Hippolyta grabs you up and wastes away your night by having you puke on her over and over again.

Since Hippolyta also had gotten a job in the Natural Science career back at the beginning of her adulthood both her and Fatima were often out of the house at the same time. So that meant a nanny needed to be hired, one who seemed rather lackluster about doing her job.

The nannys hate me. This nanny, Hestia:: I believe, came around midnight that night after Hippolyta and Fatima came home from work. She immediately came in to where Fatima was trying to bathe a stinky Jordan to try and give him a bottle. It took forever to chase Hestia:: all over the house to fire her. She charged me for the hour it took to track her down too.

While Jordan was a toddler I tried re-arranging the toys in the nursery so that someone could sit and play with the toddler if they wanted. I heard that a toddler with sufficently good needs could kill a Sim with sufficently bad needs, by interacting with them in such a manner until the Sim dies, but I decided to give Jordan the benefit of the doubt in this situation.

The one thing that does get under my skin with autonomous Sims is their insistence on sharing the upstairs bed. Jamal and Hippolyta shared the upstairs bed and it was really hard to time Hippolyta and Fatima's woohoo sessions around Jamal's sleep schedule. I ultimately ended up selling the bed and buying an identical one to replace it with. As far as Jamal and Hippolyta were concerned it was a whole new bed and they no longer thought of it as "theirs", until the next time they had a sleep desperation. I think the upstairs bed, due to the remodel, is now nicer then the downstairs ones.

Finally both Jordan and Jamal were children. Here they watch Saturday morning cartoons with Hippolyta. I wonder if that was something built into the coding. 'Cause Child Sims will autonomously watch TV first thing if they don't have school. Maybe it's just because that is the nearest fun thing to do. Ah well, it keeps them busy and out of the kitchen while Fatima cooks breakfast at least. They will have to fend for themselves in that arena, soon enough.

Hi Bitsy, awesome update! I love all of the pictures -- very cool camera angles and facial expressions. The whole style of these Sims is cool, with the custom skin tone, realistic eyes, and hair like the dreads and the puff-bun. I like how you're so consistent with it. I hope Jordan and Jamal won't give you too much trouble! Those elders sure are a pain.
