Chicago Bungalow

Filed under Downloads > Misc Homes on December 18, 2005

I've recently been checking out books from the library containing house plans for, what else, building in the Sims 2. Now I know I've waxed lyrical on always using other people's downloads because I can't build. But, after reading some tutorials and using professional house plans as a guide I found out I can build, sort of. Enough to please myself, at least.

Since I go to school in Chicago that means that the most readily available houseplans are those of Chicago architecture. Thereby I give you the most common building in Chicago, the Bungalow.

Chicago Bungalow

The first floor:

The basement:

I purposefully left the basement as blank as possible because I wanted to leave it open for whatever expansion pack you happen to have. You can put in a bowling alley (Nightlife), a lounge (University), a workshop (Open for Business!) or some extra bedrooms. I also left space to the right of the lot for a driveway.

Please let me know if there are any problems with this lot.

The lot was repackaged so there are no hacks and no custom content.

I downloaded it *dances* But I haven't played The Sims 2 with your lot, but I'm doing so after I post this comment.

That house is so pretty!

This house is really neat! I downloaded it, but I have no idea when I'll be able to play it. Great job!

By the way, Bitsy. What RSS reader do you use? I asked you on SimScribes, but I don't know if you check that anymore. My site's RSS doesn't seem to work on Pluck, my RSS reader. I followed your instructions of taking feed: out of it, but it didn't work. Any ideas? Thanks!

You may see my Sims living in this house soon! I love it. So many people are building houses that are all about huge spaces and flashy extras, but this house is both cute *and* functional.

Wow, I didn't think that a house I built would be downloaded by so many. *blushes* Thanks so much for the nice comments guys.

Annette, it would be so cool to see your Sims in my house, I can't wait to read about them!

Jessica, I'll post to the forum on my thoughts about your RSS feed, I think I know what's wrong but it takes too long to explain in a comment box.

Great job! I'm a huge fan of bungalows, though I've never seen the ones in Chicago (except in magazines). I'm definitely downloading this!

Wow, That is a cute house! I'll have to use that in my legacy!
