Legacy Challenge Scorecard

Filed under > Legacy Challenge on October 17, 2005

Update: I have posted my final score for the Legacy Challenge, you can find that over here.

So, I've decided to tally my score according to current rules and then list the points I forfeited because I was using an older version of the rules, hadn't read the FAQ, or in two cases used hacks to fulfill them. Really wasn't thinking things through, there.

I also managed to get my game fixed (kinda) so the score is going to be current with where I am now, a little ways into ninth generation. Expect a new post soon continuing the story of the Windling family.

Legacy Challenge Scorecard

Standard Points:

Generations: 9
Family Net Worth: §1,675,260
Platinum Graves: 15
Family Friends: 15
Impossible Wants: 31
Shrink Visits: 1
Inter-bred Births: 0

Bonus Points:

Career Reward Objects: 10
NPC's in Bloodline: 8
Ghosts: White
Free Roaming: No
Visitor Deaths: 0
Alien Births: 3
10th Generation Twins: No
2 Social Bunny Romance: Yes
Babies, Toddles, Children Taken by Social Worker: 0
Platinum Grave of all 5 Aspirations: Yes

Standard: 76
Bonus: 16

Total: 92

Legacy Legend

Points I Didn't Claim:

- Prometheus was Best Friends w/ 5 NPCs
(Dosen't count as an Impossible Want)

- Maura had 20 Grandchildren
(I used the Quads Hack to get four of those children)

- Shea Made Out w/ 30 Sims
- Shea WooHooed w/ 30 Sims
- Shea Public WooHooed w/ 30 Sims
(Don't count as Impossible Wants)

- Poseidon had 20 Grandchildren
(I used the Quads Hack to get most of those children)

- Warren Made Out w/ 30 Sims
- Warren WooHooed w/ 30 Sims
(Don't count as Impossible Wants)

- Free Ranging Ghosts Bonus
(According to the Legacy Challenge FAQ you cannot put your ghosts in a room, period.)

Granted that no really bad things happen between now and the end of the challenge... I should get a point for Agenor's platinum grave, a point for Alec marrying into the family and a point for Danae's ten children which would put me at 95.

If Alec fulfill's his impossible want to get 30 best friends, if Danae gets 20 grandchildren legitmately, and if the ninth generation gets married to a new NPC that would be put me at 98.

That leaves me with two mystery points to try and earn and I will be able to reach 100, my ultimate goal. I'm really psyched about that! Back to playing Sims.

I didn't even know about that last part--the rule against putting ghosts in a room. I rather like mausoleums, but I'm not keeping score, anyway. This kind of makes me want to start fresh and do it right, though. Hmmm...

I think that's it not fair to change the rules in the middle of a game, so you should only go by the rules you started playing with.

I was at the game night thingy, at a church in Texas, and this woman - Millie was teaching some of us how to play a game. Don't remember the name of the game right now, but she kept adding on rules throughout the game. She would see something come up in her hand that would benefit her and then remembered the rule - after I had discarded because I thought it was worthless. I dismissed it the first round as it was a learning round - and with the start of the next game we were supposed to be set.

So, next round come up and low and behold she 'remembers' more rules. I suggest we continue playing out this round with the rules as they stood, but that idea was put down. So guess what Millie won - because the rules fit her hand and not mine.

Anyways, I gave up playing as that kind of ruins the game - when it's slanted. So why put your self down, just because the rules were change on you half way through the challenge? Be strong and stand up! Ad hear to your own rules, and have fun.

I'd like to see you post your score card according to the rules you started with. Besides, you know that your ghosts are free to roam the lot - You just showed me a picture of a poor little girl getting scared to death by a ghost because you told her it would okay to sleep in this bed...

Anyways, looking forward to seeing the update of your family as it progress towards the end! so sad.. *cry* I guess you'll get over it though.

I was re-reading the rule about free-roaming ghosts and this is what I gleaned from the FAQ page. You can have them in a room they just have to be able to get out of it if they choose. There has to be a door and if they are elevated or in a basement there has to be stairs.

I'm just about to start the challenge, I'm online trying to find the Open for Business scorecard, because the page has been deactivated due to lack of activity :S Matt: That sounds like Mao, if it's a card game with Points of Order and things, in which case she probably wasn't making the rules up, but everyone thinks you are when they've never played it before. It's a good game.
