Babies and Toddlers and Children, oh my!
Or: Just how much trouble can a little one cause?
It was time for Gaia to head back to work since she was now lined up for a promotion. Pao had the day off so he stayed home and took care of little Aphrodite.
After Gaia put Aphrodite down for a nap I had her work on her skills a little more before her car pool arrived. Unfortunately I wasn't paying close enough attention and when her ride arrived she stopped studying at my behest but did not take off her thinking cap! She was in platinum so I wasn't too worried but it still made me extremely nervous as she was whisked away for a full day of work still wearing that thinking cap.
Pao took care of his little girl and when the trash compactor broke after disposing a bottle I set him to fix it. He had 9 mechanical points so I figured he could handle it. Apparently not as he was electrecuted. Thank goodness he survived. His fun was a little low after that so I sent him out to the dart board. Sorry for the dark pic, they couldn't afford an outside light at that point.
After a shower he was ready to take care of his daughter again, good thing too because she needed a diaper change at that point.
Not too long after that Gaia came back home from work not much the worse for wear after wearing a thinking cap all day at work, though the cap was completely shot. She did get a promotion though, so yay for that.
After a shower she was refreshed and, since all of Pao's wants revolved around his wife including the want to flirt, I had him serenade her in the bathroom. I think he missed her.
The next day both Pao and Gaia had work so I had them hire a nanny. She was awesome she took care of Aphrodite, cleaned the entire house, and then danced to the stereo, something that looked so funny I had to snap a pic of it.
Unfortunately when Gaia got home I had the great idea to tip the nanny and they started to chat. I decided to let her autonomously chat, something you should never do with Leos, they have only three personality points in nice (out of ten) and soon she began picking on the nanny. That nanny hasn't been back since.
After that it was time for Aphrodite to grow into a toddler. She has her mother's hair! It looks very interesting on a little one. Though the eyes look freaky. They look fine on Gaia so I suppose she will grow into them, and just comparing skin tones with her father I can already tell that Aphrodite has inherited her mother's tattoos as well.
After that it was time to work on Potty Training and teaching Aphrodite to talk.
This happened several times after Aphrodite was potty trained, I thought it so funny that her and her mother seemed to be on identical potty schedules so I had to take a pic of it.
Of course, she had other needs that needed to be taken care of as well.
At that point I also checked Gaia's age. Elder in five days, yikes! So right away I had them Try For Baby. Luckily she got pregnant again on the first try. So Pao took over as primary care-giver for Aphrodite since Gaia was going through morning sickness and dealing with fluctuating needs. This also happened to put little Aphrodite into platinum since interacting with her father was three of her four wants.
Keeping Aphrodite in platinum was easy, the decay must be slower for little ones. And soon Gaia gave birth to a little boy who I post-humously named Cronus. I feel really bad, I have almost no pictures of the pregnancy or of Cronus as an infant. Just look back at the pictures of Aphrodite, they are practically identical.
Right after Cronus was born it was time for Aphrodite to grow up.
And she grew up well putting her and both of her parents into full platinum.
Next time:
-Cronus becomes a toddler.
-A Legacy protrait is painted.
-Gaia becomes an Elder.
-Pao actually starts to take interest in his children.
Till then...
