Read-a-Thon Archive

Read-a-Thon April 2010

I’m the only person up right now and I’m trying to be vewy vewy quiet. We’re hunting books today! Or at least I am. It’s almost 7AM and I’m reading to kick off by starting with Volume 1 of Fullmetal Alchemist. You may have heard me rave about this series in my upcoming read-a-thon post. I am stoked and so ready to go. I’ve been leafing through these babies all week!

Let’s get this party started!

Read-a-Thon Buttons

I got inspired! While looking over the buttons for this read-a-thon I decided to make some more because, well, I love making buttons! I ended up having way too much fun making a bunch, and have only just finished up the last one just in time for kick off tomorrow! I’m kind of in a design rut with these as far as font and layout go, can you tell? They all ended up being totally different sizes though. I really should have regulated it more. Ah well. Have fun with these!

Upcoming Read-a-Thon

I am very excited about the upcoming read-a-thon. I participated unofficially in the one last October and used it as a chance to get all caught up on my back-log of reviews (somewhere in the double digits). I then went on to participate in a different one in December. It was loads of fun and I can’t wait to participate in this one!

Like last time I really want to try and stay up the whole 24 hours. I have no idea if this will work or not, but it sounds like a lot of fun and I want to go for it again! As far as the books I have chosen, whew, I went crazy and chose a lot!

Read. Read. Read-A-Thon!

This is going to be my very first read-a-thon and I have to say, I’m pretty excited! I’m keeping it pretty simple this first time around, hopefully by the end of 24 hours I can see how I hold up and maybe do something cool for the next one. (A vlog? Donations to charity? Yes, please!) Anyway, I have a cup of tea all made up and hopefully I can finish waking up and do some justice to the pile of books I have selected. These include:

  • Arabella by Georgette Heyer
  • Wilderness Tips by Margaret Atwood
  • A Certain Chemistry by Mil Millington
  • A Christmas To Remember by Thomas Kinkade
  • The Christmas Blessing by Donna VanLiere

I’m not confident of finishing any but two of these books, but at least I’ll get a start on some and it’s giving me some diversity.
