Time

After seeing other people doing this on You Tube we decided we wanted to create our own time stop video of the view from our apartment. Problem was, our front windows look into the neighbors' front windows and we didn't want a view that would cut out all sky and chance of seeing the sun, though the sunset can be pretty from there. We set up the camcorder looking out the back windows angling it so we weren't just looking at the SBC's lovely brick wall (we now had the view of the funeral home as well, lovely) and then had to trick it to stay on all the time by setting it to digital camera mode. Then we hooked it up to the laptop where we had installed some software that would use the camera to take an image every 30 seconds. We started messing with camera and what not around midnight, we actually started recording around 3:40AM. At the time we didn't realize how bad the screen would look in front of the lense (we have a cat, we didn't want to take it out). So expect a take two soon sans the screen once we figure out a way to disuade Speck from sticking his furry mug out our second story window. Hope you enjoy two sunrises and a sunset in Illinois. We're even in a frame or two, though with the screen there's no way you will spot us!

Speck Under Blanket

Speck is a very odd kitten. His name, (Grim Spectre of Death, Speck for short) might partially explain this, but he was odd when we got him too. He actually likes going underneath blankets, and staying there. I was teasing him about it one day by flipping up the blanket and then pulling it back onto him. At first he was timid and unsure, but he quickly started getting into the spirit of things by viciously attacking the blanket. And, of course, I got it all on video.

Turtle Power

I made this music video last semester, quite frankly it was screaming at me to be made. All over campus there was a teenage mutant ninja turtle explosion since the turtles were being used as a vehicle to reach the student population. Student Activities were urging students to sign up for osl (orientation student leaders) so students could help incoming freshman become assimilated fit in.

Zoe Sniff

Zoe is my Fiance's Mother's kitten. While we were visiting his family this past summer she somehow managed to get a severe scratch down her side. After being taken to the vet and getting more stiches then I could stomach, she was forced to wear a cone for several weeks. Something she did not enjoy. Regardless of all that, here is a shot of her checking out the birds outside the window of Matt and I's bedroom and checking out the camera as well!

Written On The Wind

The most recent music video I have created, Written On The Wind, was made up of shots I took on vacation at Zion National Park, Bridal Veil Falls and the Grand Canyon. My skill has improved, but alas all of these shots were done with a digital camera with limited memory and it shows.

Idle Hands

A testament to the saying that Idle Hands are the devil. Or something like that. This was my first music video and, in retrospect, really really sucks. Its here for the sake of posterity, and because my funny family makes it semi-amusing. Featuring christmas lights, a train in wyoming, a winter hike in pennsylvania, and vids of my family set to the x-men theme.

My Family

As I'm sure we can all agree, each individual thinks their family is completely insane. Well, unlike the rest of you, I have documented proof. In order of appearance: my little brother Eric, he vanquishes you with a pencil, my little brother Dan, playing a video game and ignoring your prescence, my Dad, goofing off and giving you the peace sign, and my Mom, well... you'll see.
