Writing Collabs

I have used Diarist.net as my source for finding writing collabs in the past. Unfortunately, I have found that the vast majority listed on their pages recently are either defunct or missing. Quite the downer really.

And, while memes are fun I have always thought the idea of a collab was more cozy and permanent somehow. And, of course, required quite a bit more thought from me, and forced me to write more eloquently to get my point across.

So, now I am looking around of my own accord and seeing what I can scrounge up myself. This list is here mainly for me, but I'm hoping it might be useful to others as well. I am planning on updating this list as I find more.

+ The Alchera Project
A five prompt collab. (Only have to answer one.)

+ We Have Brains
A feminist collab.

+ Word Goddess
By invitation only.

+ The Radii
A collaborative writing site.

+ Free-For-All Friday
Post to each other's sites.

+ Join This!
Vote on best submission.

+ The Sacred
This one I might join.

+ theLeak
A rather fishy collab.

I have looked everywhere, and this was all I could find. This is it? I remember the hay day of collabs when there was twenty odd ones out there with several different themes and prompts and groups of people. Now... they are nearly all gone.

I'd say the most active one would have to be We Have Brains, even though it is sort of a meme disguised as a collab. I kind of wish Pagan Speak was still active. That one I miss the most...

It figures that I'd miss the zenith (and decline) of my favorite thing about blogging. It just figures.
